WebCat 8 is really intended for 25Gb or 40Gb networking, so legitimately not worth it for home use likely for a very, very long time. If you want the latest and greatest then cat6 or cat6a will do just fine. They already both do 10Gb (6 to 55m and 6a to 100m), and 6a has potential to be certified for faster Ethernet specs in the future.
