If you have play and noise from there you're about to lose your water pump and if you do, it may put the fan into the radiator and tear up a BUNCH of other stuff. So while you're fixing your alternator, grab the fan pulley and see if you can move it in and out or back and forth. If its off balance (up and down) you may have a bad replacement, bent crank, or severely worn main bearings. To me: it looked and sounded ok. 4.0s are noisy.
