Webb30 juni 2014 · So after doing a little more research it looks like it isn't a head gasket, here's my thinking: Head gasket = coolant in oil = oil filler cap with sludge and oil dipstick with sludge. Intake manifold gasket = oil in coolant = radiator cap with sludge. I checked the oil and it is as clean as a whistle. Webb24 nov. 2024 · Turned out it had water in the radiator, and it appeared that that's all that was ever used in the coolant system. The whole system had calcium scaling in it. Ended up installing a new radiator and proper coolant/anti-freeze. I still see that sand-like substance in the system every time I open the rad-cap.
